FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

ELIGIBILITY AND ENROLLMENT

Am I eligible to take the course?

You can check your court notice or our website to determine your eligibility. If you see our web address in the notice, or if your court is listed on our website, you can register with us by telephone at 877-898-7363 or online.

However, if your court does not appear on our web site, your court may still grant you permission to take our course. Simply contact the court to request permission to participate in our program. Even if they don't have a formal agreement with us, courts will often grant permission on a case-by-case basis.

Do I need a ticket to attend your course?

Anyone wishing to keep current on traffic safety is welcome to take our course, citation or not. However, you may attend traffic school only once every eighteen (18) months to clear a ticket. Feel free to call us at 877-898-7363 if you have any questions.

PAYMENT

I've already paid the traffic school fee to the court; doesn't it cover this program?

The court's "traffic school" fee is actually only an administrative fee, so it does not cover your tuition for this course. Our program is not run by the courts but is privately owned and operated.

How much does it cost to enroll in your program?

It costs $34.95 to participate in our program. Your tuition includes access to the course and delivery of your completion certificate.

What are my payment options?

You may pay for the course by credit card, debit card, check by phone, or money order. When you first register, we will ask you to select a payment option. After completing your registration, if you choose to pay by credit or debit card, we will send you to a secure and encrypted site. To make payments using the check by phone option, contact one of our customer service representatives at 877-898-7363. If you are paying by money order, please mail it to

Extreme Traffic School
815B Camarillo Springs Road
Camarillo, CA 93012

Be sure to send the check or money order before you complete the course so your certificate can be processed on time.

What is your refund policy?

If you are not satisfied with our program for any reason, we will send you a refund as long as you cancel prior to taking the final. If you complete the final exam a refund will not be issued. No exceptions.

GENERAL COURSE INFORMATION

Will I be able to use someone else's computer or Internet access?

In order to participate in our program, you only need Internet access. You are also not restricted to just one location; you can start on one computer and finish on another.

Do I need to sit through the entire course in one sitting?

No, you are not required to go through the course all at once, though you can do that if you wish. The course is broken up into several sections to give you the flexibility to proceed at your own pace. Since the program keeps a record of your progress, you can easily return to where you left off. Your status in the course will not expire, so there is no limit on how often you can log on and off.

How long does it take to complete this course?

It should not take longer to complete our program than it would a traditional sit-down traffic school class, which is eight hours. Our program allows you to work at your own pace. We will not rush you along, although we will alert you if your court deadline is nearing. Otherwise you may remain in the program for as long as you need.

I've logged off. How do I get back into the program?

Simply enter your username and password in the appropriate fields on our homepage whenever you need to return to complete the program. If you forget or lose them, don't worry - just call us at 877-898-7363.

What purpose do these security questions serve?

There are two types of security questions that we use for our program to prevent cheating. When you register, we ask identity questions that are used to verify that you, and not someone else, are the person taking the program. Throughout the program, we will again ask you these questions. Incorrect answers will result in disqualification, but if that occurs, call our office at 877-898-7363 to be reinstated.

At the end of each chapter, you will be asked specific questions regarding the content to ensure that you do not skim through the chapter. These will be either true/false statements or multiple choice questions. Answering these incorrectly will only prevent you from proceeding, not disqualify you from the program.

Are there any limits to how often I can take this course?

There are no limits at all unless you are taking the course to fulfill court or state requirements. In that case, you may take a traffic school course such as ours only once every eighteen (18) months, or as dictated by your court.

TESTING

How will I know if I need to attend a test site?

If you received your citation in any of the following counties: Glenn, Lake, Lassen, Napa, Santa Cruz and Ventura, your court requires third party testing. Depending on your court identity verification may also be required. The testing and verification is conducted by CCS, a third party hired by the court. There may be an additional fee involved with this process depending on your choice of verification. When you go to the final examination you will be apprised of this process.

COURSE POLICIES AND CERTIFICATES

Will I be able to cancel? What about refunds?

We believe our students derive something from our program. However, if you are not satisfied for whatever reason, you may cancel as long as you have not taken the final, and we will send you a refund. You will not be eligible for a refund if you take the final.

I was disqualified from the program. What do I do now?

If you were disqualified, call our office at 877-898-7363.

What can I do if my deadline for completion of traffic school is nearing or has passed?

Contact your court directly and inquire about an extension of your due date. We cannot extend your due date for you.

How long will it take to get the certificate?

Our office sends the original certificate of completion to you or the court within 2-3 business days of graduation with our regular delivery option. If you don't receive your certificate after a week or two, please call our office at 877-898-7363 or e-mail us at contact@extremetrafficschool.com. We do offer expedited service at additional cost which would allow you to receive the certificate or have it sent to the court earlier. For security reasons, you may not print your own completion certificate.

Can I get a duplicate of my certificate of completion?

If you need a duplicate of your certificate for any reason, call us at 877-898-7363 or e-mail us at contact@extremetrafficschool.com.

TECHNICAL

I was in the middle of a section when I got disconnected. What do I do now?

In most cases, you can just log back in to continue. You will be returned to the section following the last one that you completed. If you were in the middle of a chapter, that would bring you to the start of that same chapter. If you still experience problems, call us at 877-898-7363.
